Monday Club met May 12
Monday Club met at 1:30 p.m. May 12 in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church in Marshall.
President Ann Fenner called the meeting to order and thanked Janie Weber for the piano music.
Second Vice President Ann Rea introduced Carolyn Miller, owner of Nostalgia Vintage Apparel in Sedalia.
Miller presented a program on "The History of Tea and the Victorian Woman. She brought and modeled several beautiful period outfits and accessories. She showed how a woman could be fashionable dressed to attend afternoon teas simply by changing the look of a basic outfit into a totally different look by layering, adding a belt, sweater, jewelry and of course a hat and gloves.
Fenner presided over a short business meeting. Do to the absence of Secretary Arline Borchers, incoming Secretary Claudia Hutcherson read the minutes. Treasurer Shermaine Riggins gave the treasures report.
Fenner thanked the nominating committee Barbara Prichard, Mary Jo Berry, Anne Rea and Melanie Dees Campbell for a job well done.
Jane Hartley and Henrietta Fenner were appointed to audit the treasurers books for the year.
