Monday, July 14, 2014

A Boonville woman suffered moderate injuries in an all-terrain vehicle accident at approximately 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 11, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

The accident occurred when a 2005 Honda 4-wheeler driven by Emily N. Barr, 18, was pulling out of a private drive on Route H just west of Norway Avenue. She failed to stop for oncoming traffic and pulled into the path of a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Debra F. Bradbury, 21, of Sweet Springs. The Malibu was unable to avoid striking the ATV, causing the car to travel off the left side of the roadway. Barr and her passengers, Matthew G. Glasscock, 21, and Kiersten J. Wagner, 18, all of Boonville, were ejected from the 4-wheeler. Barr and Glasscock suffered moderate injuries, and Wagner suffered serious injuries. All were transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital by Saline County EMS for treatment. Bradbury suffered moderate injuries, while an infant passenger, Aubrey L. Blackwell, was unhurt. Both were wearing a safety device.

Saline County Rural Fire Protection District assisted at the scene.
