On June 5 and 10, Slater's FFA officers Tristian Griffith, Shelby Bagnell, Stephanie Borgman, Nikki RIddle, Spencer Peel, Anne Baker, Jordan Allen and Albert Foster; had two full days of training. Chapter officer work day was on the June 5, where discussions were held on goals and plans for the upcoming year such as more participation in the chapter and a higher success rate in contests. On June 10, Slater went to Marshall to train with the officers in the Area Six officer training. This day was filled with team building activities and pointers on how to communicate and work together. The officers also had individual sessions where everyone focused on specific duties. Both days were very successful and have helped Slater FFA officers be more prepared for the upcoming year to work as a team and achieve goals.

On June 19, Slater FFA Chapter held their annual Scavenger Hunt. The members were separated into five groups of four members each and walked where their clues would lead them. Zach Crews announced the first group to the final destination as winners. Congratulations to Avery Bealer, Bryant Smith, Kody Uhlich and Kayla Miller. The winners will receive pizza at the beginning of school. It was a fun night and a tradition that is likely to continue.
