Omea Ruth Tichenor, 92, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014, at Mar-Saline Manor in Marshall.

The children had a private burial at Zoar Cemetery with arrangements handled by Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2014, at Zoar Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Zoar Baptist Church in her memory. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com. A reception will be held at the family home following the memorial service.

Born Aug. 24, 1921, near Warsaw, she was the daughter of the late Ruth and Floyd Ireland. On Dec. 27, 1941, she married Harold Tichenor, who preceded her in death. She was an active member of Zoar Baptist Church in Napton.

She is survived by children, Irene Tichenor Craft and her husband, Randal R. "Bob", of Brooklyn, N.Y., Nancy Tichenor Wildermuth and her husband, Kurt, of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Daniel Tichenor and his wife, Carol Jo Chinn, of Castro Valley, Cali.; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Craft Ferguson and her husband, Tyler, Sarah Nelson Craft and her husband, James Lawrie, William George Tichenor and his wife, Heather, Mark Shannon Tichenor and his wife, Lacey, David Allen Wildermuth and his wife, Laura, Gregory Scott Wildermuth and his wife, Miho, and James Daniel Wildermuth; eight great-grandchildren, Theo and Owen Lawrie, Colton and Levi Tichenor, Kaylee and Lily Tichenor and Nico and Gene Wildermuth; two sisters, Esther Howery of rural Marshall and Zella Evans of Cummings, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Floyd William "Bill" Tichenor; two sisters, Alma Vardeman and Nellie Andrews; and two brothers, Scott Ireland and Junior Ireland.
