Forage and weed identification meeting presented by Extension service

If you have a small acreage or new to the rural area, it is important to identify forages and weeds that are commonly found on your acreage. This meeting is designed to help individuals identify common weeds and forages found locally. Two meetings will be held. The first will be Thursday, June 19, at the Youth Center in Plattsburg and the other, Thursday, June 26, at KCB Bank in Kearney. Both meetings will start at 6:00 p.m. and conclude at 9:00 p.m.

Pre-registration is required to accurately provide training materials for the event. Six booklets will be provided as part of the teaching materials and a fee is required to cover the expenses of the class. Pre-registration deadline is June 13 for Plattsburg meeting and make reservations by calling 660-446-3724. The second meeting located at Kearney, pre-registration deadline is June 20 and make your reservations by calling 816-776-6961 for this meeting location.
