   Compared to last week, few comparisons could be made. This week's 
supply was moderate and demand was good. The buyers in the crowd 
showed obvious favor to the black-hided, yearling cattle in optimal 
flesh condition, although all lots were readily sold. Cows and 
bulls were steady to 5.00 higher and made up 12 percent of the 
receipts. Of the feeder offering 55 percent steers, 45 percent 
heifers. 53 percent of the feeders weighed over 600 lbs.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  400-500 lbs 221.00-235.00; 500-
515 lbs 217.00-219.00; 655 lbs 195.50-206.25; pkg 722 lbs 189.25. Medium 
and Large 1-2  390-400 lbs 221.00; lot 467 lbs 190.50; 500-550 lbs 200.00-212.50; 560-600 lbs 195.5-206.50; 600-650 lbs 194.00-198.00; 650-700 lbs 
178.50-185.25; group 750 lbs 167.50; pkg 816 lbs 169.25; lot 879 lbs 152.50.
