Receipts:  1700    Week Ago:  2211    Year Ago:  3708

   Compared to last week, steers under 600 lbs sold near steady to firm,
six weight steers steady to 6.00 higher. heifers under 700 lbs steady to
3.00 higher. Other weights not a good comparison.  Supply moderate with
average feeder quality not as attractive as last week.  Demand good.  Cows
and bulls were 22 percent of receipts.  In the feeder supply, steers and bulls
were 60 percent of the run; heifers 40 percent.  Near 27 percent of feeders
weighed over 600 lbs.  Slaughter cows traded 2.00 to 4.00 lower from last
weeks strong showing.
