Cornhusking was held on Sept. 21 at the Saline County Fairground. There were a total of 50 participants despite the dreary, rainy day. Fifteen FFA members were present that to take on the roles of being the judges and gleaners.

There were also three members that participated in the festivity: Kayla Elson, Katie Wansing, and Mason Sandidge. They competed in the girls and boys 17-24 age division. Mason Sandidge was the winner in the boys division with 89 lbs of corn picked and Katie Wansing was the winner in the girls division with 69 lbs of corn picked. The chapter has been a part of this tradition for many years.
