Annual fruit sales

Thursday, February 20, 2014

Every year the Marshall FFA Chapter holds the annual fruit sales fundraiser, and this year the chapter used SEITZ Fundraising Company out of Texas. With this company the chapter was able to receive a larger profit margin from the total dollars worth of product sold. This year a variety of meats were sold, from turkey to bacon, a variety of fruits from oranges to apples and pears. Also, pre-portioned cookie dough was sold, and varieties of meat sticks. This year the chapter met an all time high of selling $55,000 worth of product. Every year the chapter recognizes the top ten fruit sellers. This year, everyone that was in the top ten sold more than $1000 worth of fruit. The top ten are as follows Kayla Elson, Elizabeth Borges, Mason Sandidge, Katie Wansing, Kade Plattner, Jake Miller, Nick Liemkhueler, Tyler Wells, Drew Mizer, and Chadron Koehn. The money the chapter makes from fruit sales is used to pay for members' leadership conference fees, and other trips taken throughout the year.
