Harold K. Lusby
Harold K. Lusby, 78, of Odessa, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at St. Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with visitation one hour before the service. The Rev. Larry Neil will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Odessa. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Feb. 2, 1936, in Slater, he was the son of the late Scott Thompson Lusby and Clarice Shockley Lusby. He was a graduate of Slater High School. On Feb. 17, 1989, he married Margaret "Cookie" Davis Yager, who preceded him in death on Dec. 18, 2009. He was a motorcycle patrolman for the Columbia Police Department and the Kansas City Police Department. He also worked as a car salesman and truck driver. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Odessa.
Survivors include three children, Keith Lusby and his wife, Rhonda, of Hope Mills, N.C., Kim Hazell and her husband, Jim, of Marshall and Cynthia Donelson and her husband, Kevin, of Edwardsville, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Stacie Alspach and her husband, Josh, Sara Boston and her husband, Cody, Scot Hazell and his wife, Carri, Stefani Rudd and her husband, Ryan, Kourtnie Westerheide and her husband, Brian, Austin Donelson, Emma Donelson and Addie Donelson; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Roger Lusby of Ruskin, Fla.; and companion, Carol Bernhard of Lee's Summit.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Thom Lusby.
