Receipts: 1323 Week Ago: 1301 Year Ago: 833 Compared to last week, feeder steers under 600 lbs traded steady to 2.00 lower, heavier steers steady to 3.00 higher. Feeder heifers sold 5.00 to 6.00 higher, spots 7.00 to 10.00 higher on calves under 600 lbs. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 lower. Producers took advantage of the warmer temperatures Sunday and Monday to gather and haul cattle before bitterly cold temperatures and wind chill returned overnight. Several loads and part loads included in this week’s feeder offering. Supply heavy and demand good. Cows and bulls accounted for 9 percent of the total offering. The feeder supply consisted of 56 percent steers and bulls and 44 percent heifers; 43 percent of all the feeder cattle weighed over 600 lbs.
