Marshall FFA to hold annual Veterans Day assembly Friday

Tuesday, November 5, 2013

The Marshall FFA Chapter is holding its annual Veterans Day assembly on Friday, Nov. 8.

There will be a breakfast held from 7:30 to 8 a.m. in the Marshall High School cafeteria with an assembly following in the gymnasium.

During the assembly the veterans in attendance will be given a certificate of appreciation for their service.

The Marshall FFA holds Veterans Day assemblies to honor all of the veterans and their families that have went through deployment.

The Marshall FFA Chapter does this activity for Program of Activity (POA) community and every year they put together boxes for soldiers who are deployed which consist of canned goods and non-perishable items. Those boxes are sent overseas to soldiers that are serving.

In conjunction with the activities, there is also a Veterans Day coloring contest for elementary students.

The chapter encourages people to come and support the veterans and the Marshall FFA chapter. The public is welcome to attend.
