MPL to hold book sale Nov. 8-10
Marshall Public Library's annual book sale has outgrown their meeting room, so organizers are setting up for the event held Nov. 8-10 at the City of Marshall Municipal Court building located directly across from the library on the corner of Lafayette and Eastwood streets.
"We have a good selection of books from every genre, and some are brand new," Wicky Sleight, Marshall Public Library director reported.
"Now is a great time to stock up for those cold winter days perfect for curling up with a good book," added Arline Borchers, one of the MPL trustees who organized the books for the sale.
A special preview sale will be held on from 9-11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8. A $10 entrance fee to the preview sale guarantees the shopper first pick of the thousands of books donated for this sale. There is no entrance fee for the remainder of the sale which will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, and from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10.
Proceeds from the sale help support Marshall Public Library programs and buy new books, magazines and DVDs for the library.
