Marshall Circle No. 535, Daughters of Isabella met at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at Knights of Columbus Hall.

Vice Regent Maureen Burks called the meeting to order in the absence of Regent Anita Harris. Prayers were led by Chancellor Helen Girard. Pledge of Allegiance was given. Roll call of officers showed seven present and seven excused. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved. No report of scribe was given. Mildred Gilliam gave the treasurer's report and the May, June and July audit report was given.

The carry-in dinner held in honor of the visit of Mary Ann Schuster was again discussed. All items needed for the State Convention to be held in Sedalia Sept. 27-29 had been previously accounted for. Theme basket, door prizes and table decorations were planned at the July meeting.

Mildred Gilliam was selected to represent Marshall Circle as Isabellan this year. Burks was selected as delegate from Marshall Circle. Burks, Gilliam, Jean Lubich, Dorothy Teeter and Delores Sadewhite plan to attend the convention.

Burks asked for help with the RCIA program, and received several volunteers as sponsor and prayer partners.

The next meeting will be held Sept. 11.
