Marshall Lions Club held its weekly meeting July 15
Marshall Lions Club held its weekly meeting at 12:05 p.m. Monday, July 15, at the Clubhouse in Marshall.
The meeting was called to order by Lion President David Diehm. Lion Teresa Bogel led the Pledge of Allegiance. Lion Charlie Eidson gave the prayer and opened the meeting.
There were 12 members in attendance for the meeting.
A motion was made by Lion Jene Crook and seconded by Lion Andy Roehrs to approve the minutes of the July 8 meeting.
In old business, Diehm led a discussion on the upcoming broom sales. The club agreed to three Monday nights in September. A motion was made by Hunter and seconded by Lion Hugh Harvey not to meet on the fourth Monday and to meet on the fifth Monday of July.
In new business, Crook reported the club paid $145 for a needy area child's eyeglasses.
Vogel gave the program, "My Alaska Trip."
The meeting adjourned with Vogel winning the kitty and leading the closing song.
