Marshall Lions Club held its weekly meeting at 12:05 p.m. Monday, June 10, at the Clubhouse in Marshall.
The meeting was called to order by Lion President Nancy Harris. Lion Andy Roehrs led the Pledge of Allegiance. Lion Maureen Burks gave the prayer and opened the meeting.
There were 13 members in attendance for the meeting.
A motion was made by Lion Leslie Sturhahn and seconded by Burks to approve the minutes of the June 3 meeting.
In old business, Harris passed around a sign-up sheet for the installation picnic. Lion Lesa Banks passed out the Run for Sight sponsorships and posters. Harris discussed this year's commercial and door-to-door broom sales. Burks will decide the neighborhoods that will be canvassed, and the club will discuss when at a later date.
In new business, Harris read a thank you note from Kirby Brayman and Hannah Pace for the sponsorship donation of $600 for their trip with the Missouri Lions All-State Band.
The meeting adjourned with Lion Shirley Mach winning the kitty and leading the closing song.
