The Optimist Club of Marshall held its weekly meeting June 8

The Optimist Club of Marshall held its weekly meeting at 7 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at Bloomfield's in Marshall.

The meeting was called to order by President Robyn Leimkuehler.

The invocation was given by Kenny Clause, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

The club is scheduled to serve hot dogs Thursday, June 13, at the Marshall Public Library.

On Sunday, June 16, the club will be selling hamburgers, chips and brownies on the Marshall Square in accordance with the city wide garage sale.

Leimkuehler spoke on the possibility of the club attending the Lyceum Theatre in Arrow Rock.

The program for the morning was given by Eric Crump. He spoke about the Marshall Cultural Council, and the upcoming Civil War reenactment that will be held in September. Crump also spoke about the Bob James Jazz Festival that was recently held.

the morning drawing was won by Charlie Leimkuehler.

A short board meeting was held after the club meeting.

The meeting adjourned with the Optimist Creed.
