Commission approves part-time hire, liquor licenses

The Saline County Commission announced Stevan Brown had been hired as a part-time employee to assist Bill Sleeper at its Wednesday, June 5, meeting.

The commission had gone back into session Tuesday morning to approve the position.

Brown started Monday, June 3, and will work 32 hours a week at a rate of $10 an hour.

The commission also approved more liquor licenses. Marshall Walmart, C&R Market, JJ's Liquor and Mustang Sallyz Saloon were granted licenses.

The next regular meeting of the Saline County Commission will be at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 6.
