The Optimist Club of Marshall held its weekly meeting May 4
The Optimist Club of Marshall held its weekly meeting at 7 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at Bloomfields in Marshall.
The meeting was called to order by Club President Robyn Leimkuehler. The invocation was given by Paul Collier, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Bob Stewart was a guest for the meeting.
John Boyd made cotton candy for Malta Bend Prom.
Butterfield Day will be Thursday, May 23. The club will serve popcorn and cotton candy.
Leimkuehler reported on the third quarter conference held April 26-27 at the Inn at Grand Glaize in Lake Ozark.
The program for the morning was given by Stewart of Butterfield Youth Services. They will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. He spoke about the history of the facility, and the ways it helps the youth.
The morning drawing was won by Boyd
The meeting was adjourned with the Optimist Creed.
