Marshall Lions Club holds weekly meeting Monday, April 22
Marshall Lions Club held its weekly meeting at 12:05 p.m. Monday, April 22, at the Clubhouse in Marshall.
The meeting was called to order by Lion President Nancy Harris. Lion Teresa Vogel led the Pledge of Allegiance. Lion Maureen Banks gave the prayer and opened the meeting.
There were 14 members and two guests in attendance. Russ Donnell and Mary Kay Donnell were guests of Lion Karl Kirchhoff.
A motion was made by Lion Mike Davis and seconded by Kirchhoff to approve the minutes of the April 15 meeting.
In old business, Harris reviewed the Buddy Pack Program schedule for April. She also reminded everyone that last week was Sight Week and all glass collection points should bring in their boxes. Lion Charlie Eidson will sort and deliver the glasses. She thanked everyone that helped with Meals on Wheels and stated that she didn't have any information on the hearing aid assistance yet.
In new business, Harris read a request from DIGS for a donation. The request was referred to the board. Lion Secretary Banks stated that she was collecting basketball ads, and would request next week a donation amount from the club.
Russ and Mary Kay Donnell gave the program, "Saline County Medical Reserve Core."
The meeting adjourned with Banks winning the kitty and leading the closing song.
