What You Learn On Sunday Will Be Stopped By Your Worry On Monday
"The thorny ground represents those who hear and accept the good news, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the cares of this life and the pursue of wealth, so no crop is produced." Matthew 13:22 (NLT).
The Bible tells us that worry will choke the word of God and make it of no effect. Can you imagine that worry can actually stop the powerful word of God from working in your life? We must understand, however, that worry is not something to be played with or to be taken lightly. Jesus exhorted us to look at the delicate lilies of the field; exotically beautiful they grow but never work to adorn themselves. Do they worry? Never! These gorgeous flowers are dressed to the hilt, yet they never, ever worry.
Worry is the proof that faith is absent! Faith comes by hearing what God has to say in His word, so spend some time reading His word and faith will increase and as faith increases worry is driven out.
You cannot worry and walk in faith simultaneously. The moment faith enters is the moment worry exits. It is interesting to note that when we worry, we document that we don't believe what God said. Remember, God's greatest pleasure is to be believed and His greatest disappointment is to be doubted.
What does our worry say about our faith in God?
Although we may get excited about the principles taught to us on Sunday, it takes refusing and resisting worry on Monday through Sunday to see God's word manifest in our lives.
Never forget, when worry knocks at your door, let the word of God answer! If you do, worry will flee in terror.
