Marshall Ministerial Alliance, Rev. David R. Van Horn

The Marshall Ministerial Alliance is hosting the annual national Day of Prayer Breakfast event beginning at 6:45 a.m. Thursday, May 2, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, in the fellowship hall.

Tickets will be $5 and can be purchased in advance through any alliance member or by calling the Covenant Church office at 660-886-6474 and speak with Sandy Guthrey.

The theme is "In His name the nations will put their hope." The challenge set forth is that every believer in every state ask this question -- "Will you pray for America?" Will you purposely engage in focused, intentional prayer on behalf of our country and our leaders? To engage is to occupy a person's attention and efforts in a particular activity. This means having our minds, hearts and actions committed to our communication with God.

The special speaker will be Chaplain Lieutenant Colonel Jim Snyder, United States Air Force, retired and special music by Rev. Richard DeFord.

Intentional prayers will concentrate on various aspects of leadership in our nation, government, church, military, family, education, media and business.

The invitation is to come together and pray for America!
