Winter storm warning expires, replaced by advisory

Tuesday, February 26, 2013

The National Weather Service has ended a winter storm warning that earlier was to be in effect until 3 p.m.

NWS officials said the storm that brought heavy snow to the area overnight had weakened and would deliver only light snow throughout the afternoon.

The warning was replaced, however, with a winter weather advisory.

NWS officials said a weaker storm would move through the area Tuesday night, bringing with it another 1 to 3 inches of snow.
