The Marshall Lions Club held its weekly meeting at 12:05 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at the Clubhouse in Marshall.
The meeting was called to order by President Nancy Harris. Lion Maureen Burks lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Lion Dennis Hunter gave the prayer and opened the meeting.
There were 11 members in attendance.
A motion was made by Lion Jene Crook and seconded by Lion Andy Roehrs to approve the minutes of the Jan. 7, meeting.
In old business, Harris reviewed the Buddy Pack schedule for January.
Crook reported that the 75th anniversary celebration speaker will be past International Director Leland Kolkmeyer. The cost will be $20 per person with a cash bar and entertainment by MVC music students.
In new business, Harris reported to the club that she had received a thank you from the area individual that the club purchased eyeglasses for. She also read a thank you letter from the Firepup program for the club's donation of $98.
The meeting adjourned with Lesa Banks winning the kitty and leading the closing song.
