Kingsville Livestock Auction: Cattle Auction Report for 01/22/2013

Receipts:  1835    Last Week:  3502    Year Ago:  2694

   Compared to last week, three weight steers and heifers sold steady to
4.00 higher; other steers sold 1.00 to 6.00 lower with their heifer mates
selling steady to 2.00 lower.  Supply moderate.  Demand good.  Cows and
bulls were 18 percent of receipts.  In the feeder supply, steers and bulls
were 54 percent of the run; heifers 46 percent.  Near 47 percent of feeders
weighed over 600 lbs.  Slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 3.00 higher.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  330-350 lbs 214.00-220.50; 400-
500 lbs 179.50-200.00; 500-600 lbs 172.00-183.75; 600-700 lbs 148.00-167.00;
720-775 lbs 142.10-145.25; few 800-810 lbs 137.75-138.75.  Medium and
Large 1-2  350-400 lbs 197.50-214.25; 400-500 lbs 179.50-196.00; 500-
600 lbs 159.50-177.00, pkg thin 182.50; 600-700 lbs 138.00-150.00; few 700-
