The Optimist Club of Marshall held its weekly meeting at 7 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Bloomfield's in Marshall.
The meeting was called to order by Club President Robyn Leimkuehler. The invocation was given by Ken Clause, followed by the Pledge to the Flag.
On Jan. 26 there will be a zone meeting at the Leimkuehler home. Meat will be provided and everyone is asked to bring a side dish.
The Oratorical Contest will be held either the first or second week of February.
The program for the meeting was given by Jim Johnson. He spoke on the club's popcorn project and the history behind it. He gave a report of this year's sales.
The morning drawing was won by Clause.
The meeting was adjourned with the Optimist Creed.
