Delmar Otto Oetting, 83, of rural Concordia, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Concordia, with Rev. R. Lee Hagan officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Window Fund or Kansas City Hospice House. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born July 12, 1929, in Concordia, he was the son of the late Emil C. Oetting and Hilda Holsten Oetting. On Sept. 17, 1950, he married Vernetta Fischer who survives of the home. He was a dairy farmer and in later years worked as an elementary school janitor and for the Concordia Special Road District. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where he served as an elder, trustee, usher and on various committees within the church, and was a member of the senior church choir and Men's Club.

In addition to his wife, survivors include four children, David Oetting of Independence, Stanley Oetting of rural Concordia, Rose Marie Oetting Stewart of Lee's Summit and Tricia Baumer of Paducah, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Edgar Oetting of Sedalia; and several nieces and nephews.
