Three Raytown residents suffered moderate injuries Friday, Jan. 11, in a one-vehicle traffic accident on Interstate 70, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
The accident happened about 7:18 a.m. as Daisy Dodd, 27, was traveling westbound in a 1999 Ford near mile marker 83.
Beatrice Dodd, 51, and Furman Dodd, 51, were taken to I-70 Community Hospital, troopers said.
The car traveled off the left side of the road and Daisy Dodd over corrected, causing the vehicle to return to the road then travel off the left side of the road again. The car became airborne, striking the median guard cable before coming to a rest on its top in the median.
All three were wearing a safety device, troopers said.
The investigation continues.
