Jeanette C. Thomas, 85, of Marshall, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Mar-Saline Manor in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall, with Fr. Kevin Gormley officiating. Prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall with visitation following from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Born Feb. 13, 1927, in Clifton City, she was the daughter of the late Henry Wittman and Mary Theresa Lorenz Wittman. On Aug. 29, 1944, she married John Lewis Thomas, who survives of the home. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Kathryn (Kacky) Wright and her husband, Bill, of Marshall; one son, J. Mike Thomas and his wife, Tracy, of Marshall; four grandchildren, Tammy Hermanson and her husband, David, A.J. Dial and his wife, Kasey, Madelynn Thomas and Lauren Thomas; four great-grandchildren, Trevor, Logan and Andrew Hermanson and Kade Dial; two step grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; two step great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, her twin sister, Jeanelle Brown and Mary Kathryn Gumm; and two brothers, Herbert Wittman and John Wittman.
