Ralph Edward King, 39, of Slater and Marshall, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at University Hospital in Columbia, from injuries sustained in a car accident.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with visitation from 12:30 p.m. until time of the service. Rev. Cliff Cato, Pastor Diane Cutler and William W. Harlow will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery. Born Sept. 28, 1973 in Miles City, Mont., he was the son of Gary V. King and Betty Jean Coon King, who survive of Marshall. He had lived in the Marshall area most of his life where he was a 1992 graduate of Marshall High School. He had lived in Slater for the last year. He was a millwright, currently working for W.B. Young in Marshall, and also owned his own millwright business. He was an avid race car enthusiast, both as a racer and fan.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Taylor King and Ty-Kristofer King, and their mother, Lisha Douglas Skramstad, all of Sedalia; one brother, Gary King and his wife, Jodi, of Marshall; two sisters, Josie Green and Tracy King, both of Marshall; one nephew, Devan Green; one niece, Lorin King; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins; and numerous friends.
