Terry Thompson, held in Saline County Jail on Class A felony first-degree murder and unclassified felony armed criminal action charges related to the death of Rebecca Fisher, appeared by video on Wednesday, Jan. 9, in front of Judge James "Tut" Bellamy just after 11:20 a.m.
A preliminary hearing was set for Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 9 a.m.
Thompson has been accused of stabbing Fisher in Marshall on Dec. 26, 2012. Members of her family were present in the courtroom.
Thompson will be represented by a public defender. His bond of $500,000 cash only was continued.
Fisher was found late Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 on the porch of a Birchwood Circle residence by an EMS crew and police officers. She was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. According to the probable cause statement, Thompson and Fisher were in an "off and on" relationship.
