Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Richard Stark and William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the National Pancreas Foundation or family choice. Born July 5, 1937, in Blockton, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Cecil O'Neal and Jennie Myrtle Kobbe O'Neal. She lived in Blackburn the last nine years and prior to that, lived in Marshall and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church in Marshall and its Lillie Bates Afternoon Group.
Survivors include two daughters, Diana Lynn Borchers and her husband, David, of Blackburn, Jennifer Lee Marquess and her husband, Tim Sr., of Marshall; seven grandchildren, Sabrina Marquess, Timothy Marquess Jr., Jacqueline Rose Borchers, Justin Krause and his fiancÚ, Amber Packham, Mark Eldon Krause II, Abbagail Marquess and Hunter Krause; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Vivian Nelson of Savannah; several nieces and nephews; also Rhonda Gilbert and Linda Moenkhoff, who were a great support and help to the family during her illness; and longtime companion, Jim Perkins of Marshall.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Mark Eldon Krause; one grandson, John Marshall Borchers; as well as several siblings.
