Ozarks 71, Missouri Valley 54

POINT LOOKOUT --College of the Ozarks took a 13-point lead into halftime Tuesday and cruised to a 71-54 non-conference home win over the Missouri Valley College women's basketball team.

The Lady Bobcats, ranked fourth in NAIA Division II, led by as many as 23 points during the second half. They out-shot the Lady Vikings from the field, 44.1 to 38.5 percent, and sank six three-pointers to the visitors' none.

Senior Morgan Smith paced Ozarks (12-1) with 19 points and sophomore Kayla Kepler added 17.

Valley got most of its scoring from the bench, with junior Alexis Smith tallying a game-high 25 points and eight rebounds and senior Cara Clark coming up with 17 points.

The Lady Vikings (4-7) will be on the road Friday to take on Hannibal-LaGrange.
