Compared to last week, steers 400-600 lbs sold firm to 2.00 higher; heifers
400-600 lbs sold firm to 4.00 higher; heavier weights had a higher undertone
on a better test than last week. Supply was moderate to heavy with many
quality offerings. Demand was good to very good with active trade. Cows and
bulls were 15 percent of receipts. In the feeder supply, steers and bulls were
57 percent of the run; heifers 43 percent. Near 41 percent of feeders weighed
over 600 lbs. Slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 2.00 higher.
