Loren Gruber assumed his year-long duties as Lt. Governor of Division 3 in the Mo-Ark Kiwanis District recently.

A third-generation Kiwanian, Gruber has served as president of the Bentonville-Bella Vista Kiwanis Club and as president of the Marshall Kiwanis club.

"I look forward to serving my division, which includes the Marshall, Carrollton, Richmond, Liberty, North Kansas City, and Smithville clubs. My duties will include helping each club to serve children in their communities and around the world," Gruber said. "Kiwanis provides disaster relief―most recently in Joplin―as well as projects such as Shoes That Fit and the Salt Fork YMCA's Healthy Kids. Internationally, our Eliminate Project funds provide tetanus vaccinations in third world countries to women of child-bearing years to prevent their newborns from contracting the usually fatal disease."
