Marta Najera, 51, of Marshall, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall, with Fr. Tom Alber officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Born Oct. 30, 1961, in Asuncion Mita Jutiapa, Guatamala, she was the daughter of the late Catalino Gonzales and Rogelia Dionicio Gonzales. She graduated from high school in Guatemala. She married Salvador Rene Najera, who survives of the home. She had lived in Marshall since 1998, moving from Los Angeles, Calif., and worked in environmental services at Fitzgibbon Hospital for more than 10 years.
In addition to her husband, survivors include six children, Axel Geovani Najera, Kady Ivet Najera, Sally Jasmine Najera, Gary Oswaldo Najera and Tiara Sade Najera, all of Marshall, and Stace Iztel Najera of Columbia; four grandchildren; two brothers, Pablo Gonzales and Luis Gonzales, both of Guatemala; two sisters, Teresa Orellana Gonzales and Monica Gonzales both of Guatemala; and numerous nieces and nephews.
