Marshall Lions Club held its weekly meeting at 12:05 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at the Clubhouse in Marshall.
President Nancy Harris called the meeting to order. Lion Teresa Vogel led the Pledge of Allegiance. Lion David Diehm gave the prayer and opened the meeting.
There were 12 members present at the meeting and one guest.
Sharon Hall was guest of Lion Shirley Mach.
A motion was made by Lion Leslie Sturhahn and seconded by Lion Jene Crook to approve the minutes of the Nov. 5 meeting.
Lion President Harris reviewed the Buddy Pack schedule for November. She also stated the Marshall Democrat-News will take pictures of Bruce Brock and Lions members on Nov. 20 to promote the program.
A motion was made by Lion Lesa Banks and seconded by Lion Sturhahn to have the anniversary celebration on Feb. 2, 2013, at the Martin Community Center.
Lion Crook stated that volunteers will be needed for the Lions State Convention and that training will be on Jan. 26, 2013, at the Holiday Inn in Kansas City near Blue Ridge Cutoff. She also talked about Lion Debbie Whittlesey's program on the 2011 Joplin Tornado that she heard at an M-6 District meeting.
The meeting adjourned with Lion David Diehm winning the kitty and leading the closing song.
