Nelson man injured in one-vehicle crash

A Nelson man suffered moderate injuries Monday, Nov. 12, in a one-vehicle crash in Pettis County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Darrell W. Slaughter, 38, was taken by private vehicle to Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia for treatment, troopers said.

The crash occurred shortly before 6 a.m. as Slaughter was traveling westbound on Route N at Route J.

Slaughter apparently failed to yield at a stop sign and the 1997 Ford he was driving left the roadway, according to the report.

The investigation continues, troopers said.
