Newscope: Local historian to discuss hunting for artifacts

Marshall Public Library, 214 N. Lafayette Ave., will host a talk by local historian Marvin Wilhite Tuesday, Nov. 20, at 6:30 p.m. about hunting for Saline County's historical treasures.

The presentation will take place in the library meeting room.

Wilhite is expected to show artifacts he has found with his metal detector and will describe the historical perspective behind each location were the items were found.

Audience members will be able to see and touch a piece from the historical past.
