According to a report from the Saline County Treasurer's Office, a total of $64,170.10 in sales tax has been collected for November. That total is more than $10,000 less than that collected in November 2011.
October sales tax figures were also down from last year, by roughly $14,000. However, this past September that scenario was reversed. September 2011 reflects $87,650.23 in sales tax while this year it was more than $112,000.
The law enforcement tax and courthouse sales tax were also down this month compared to November 2011, but totals could catch up by the end of the year.
So far, the 2012 sales tax collected year-to-date is $939,616.74; the total law enforcement tax is $704,289.74; and the total courthouse sales tax is $488,742.65.
