Louise M. Barr, 84, of Leawood, Kan., died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at Church of the Nativity, 3800 West 119th St. in Leawood, with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at McGilley State Line Chapel, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO 64145. Born Jan. 5, 1928, in Independence, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Semik) Kochanowski. On July 19, 1958, she married Ken Barr, who survives of the home. She worked for Braniff International as a reservationist.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Monica Peter, Gary Barr and Richard Barr; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Betty Dowell and Shirley Fagan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gene and Harry; and her sister, Lorraine.
