   Compared to last week, steers and heifers under 500 lbs 1.00-2.00
higher, over 500 lbs steady. Slaughter cows 1.00-2.00 lower. In the 
wake of hurricane Sandy, there was still optimism on the board as both
the live cattle and feeder cattle contracts closed up with substantial gains. 
However, feedlot trade has been mixed early in the week with a few sales 
steady to 1.00 lower. Demand moderate. Supply consisted of 79 percent
feeders and 21 percent cows and bulls. In the feeder offering, 51 percent
were steers and bulls, 49 percent heifers and 41 percent of the feeders
were over 600 lbs.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 174.00-190.00; 400-
450 lbs 168.00-180.00; 500-600 lbs 145.00-162.00; 600-700 lbs 142.50-157.00,
calves 136.50-140.25; 700-800 lbs 135.00-147.50, pkg calves 136.50; 
800-900 lbs 126.00-138.50, pkg thin 808 lbs 143.00; 900-950 lbs 132.25-
132.75; 1000-1010 lbs few 117.00-120.00.  Medium and Large 1-2  400-500 lbs
156.00-176.00; 500-600 lbs 142.50-158.50; Pkg 702 lbs thin fleshed 158.00.
