The Missouri Valley College fine arts division will hold its Fall Showcase at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11, in the Eckilson-Mabee Theatre on the MVC campus.

The fall showcase is a yearly event that showcases performance groups of the fine arts division -- MVC Concert Choir, Valley Connection Show Choir, MVC Jazz Band, Flatliners Improv Troupe, Valley Voices and MVC Repertory Dance Ensemble.

According to Diana Malan, fine arts division chair, the Fall Showcase allows the division to introduce its performance ensembles to the College and Marshall communities.

Valley Connection will be presenting music from the classic pop genre including "Light Up the World," "Firework and Goodnight Sweetheart."

The MVC Concert Choir will perform "Festival Sanctus," "Benedictus" and "Steal Away."

The men from Valley Voices, a new vocal group, will sing Billy Joel's "She's Got a Way." The groups will conclude the evening with "Joyful Joyful."

The Repertory Dance Ensemble will present two numbers choreographed by Janie Morgan and the repertory dance students.

The Jazz Band will play "Jumpin' Jivin' Joey" and "Haitian Fight Song."

This event is free and open to the public.

Doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.
