Olin Wayne Durham, 71, of Marshall, formerly of Slater, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Slater, with Pastor Bruce Hess and William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Born Aug. 4, 1941, in Slater, he was the son of the late Raymond E. Durham and Ethel Level Durham. On Aug. 23, 1964, he married Dorothy Burks who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall since 1989, moving from Slater, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Slater. He retired in September 2003 from Marshall Habilitation Center and was a volunteer for the Slater Fire Department from 1967 to 1991.
In addition to his wife, survivors include five children, Louis W. Durham of Slater, Randy Gene Durham and his wife, Divina, of Boonville, Olin Wayne Durham Jr. and his wife, Esther, of Marshall, April L. King of Marshall and Dawn Michelle Skinner and her husband, Derrel, of Marshall; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Bobby Dale Durham and his wife, Krystal, of Sedalia, Larry Durham of Sweet Springs, Donald Ray Durham and his wife, Glenda, of Marshall and Walter Durham and his wife, Little Jim, of Niceville, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Durham and James Edward Durham.
