Newscope: Fall fest takes shape in Blackwater

Tuesday, October 2, 2012

Patrons of Blackwater's 2012 Fall Festival may have difficulty deciding what to do first. On Saturday, Oct. 13, and Sunday, Oct. 14, the festival will showcase antiques, collectibles and crafts.

At 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. there will be Native American singers and dancers. Old West shootouts are scheduled at noon, 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Visitors can enjoy storytellers throughout the event, an old-time fiddler in the Bucksnort Saloon, and a blacksmith demonstration each day.

For more information on the festival, call 660-846-2224

It's nice to see some information about the festival in the newspaper, prior to the event.
