Receipts:  681    Week Ago:  1067    Year Ago:  594

   Compared to last week, steers calves under 600 lbs sold firm to 3.00
higher; heifer calves under 600 lbs sold 2.00 to 3.00 lower; heavier
weights were not well tested.  Average feeder quality was less attractive
than last week.  Supply was moderate and demand good to very good.  Slaughter
cows traded 2.00 to 3.00 lower.  Cows and bulls were 27 percent of receipts.
In the feeder supply, steers and bulls were 56 percent of the run; heifers
44 percent.  Near 32 percent of feeders weighed over 600 lbs.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and large 1  300-400 lbs 184.00-194.75; 400-
500 lbs  176.00-185.50; 500-600 lbs 157.50-175.25; 600-700 lbs 144.00-
156.00; pkg 770 lbs 139.00; pkg 751 lbs fleshy 136.00; few 800-835 lbs
135.00-137.00.  Medium and Large 1-2  375-400 lbs 186.50-189.50; 400-
500 lbs 164.00-178.50; 550-600 lbs 150.00-162.00; 650-700 lbs 136.00-
147.00; 750-800 lbs 137.00-145.00.

   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1  325-400 lbs 156.00-176.00; 400-
500 lbs 141.50-160.00; 500-600 lbs 135.00-140.25; 650-700 lbs 134.00-
138.50; 800-810 lbs 120.00-123.00.  Medium and Large 1-2  330-400 lbs
