Order of the Eastern Star donates supplies to Slater kindergarten

The Order of the Eastern Star Gertrude Madison Chapter No. 105 of Marshall donated a plethora of school supplies to Slater Public Schools for use in the kindergarten classes. Supplies included dry erase markers and craft items such as small poms, buttons and sequins.   • What is The Order of the Eastern Star? What type of organization are they? I have never heard of them. Great job on the donations. Most donations see their way to the bigger schools like Marshall. Nice to see Slater kids getting some help.

  • They are associated with the Masons. Generally it is a women's organization.
