Wilma L. Laffoon, 91, of Slater, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall with Rev. David L. Duncan officiating. Pallbearers will be Merlin Aldredge, Tim Aldredge, Zach Aldredge, Robert Morrow, Jerry Belshe and Charlie Guthrie. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Memorials are suggested to Big Bend Retreat or Slater Senior Center.
Born Feb. 19, 1921, in Marshalltown, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Addie Hood Belshe. On March 27, 1948, in Marshall, she married Oliver E. Laffoon, who preceded her in death on May 15, 2007. She was a member of First Christian Church in Marshall and the Chapter HQ of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. She retired from Saline County ASC Office after 20 years of services.
She is survived by several cousins.
