T.J. Sullivan Jr., 66, of Marshall, formerly of Slater, died Saturday, July 14, 2012, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Slater United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Shannon officiating. Burial will be in Slater City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Russell Willis, Charlie Guthrie, Merlin Aldredge, John Short Jr., Rodney Short and Steve Sullivan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sam Sullivan, Oden Sullivan, John Sullivan, Glen Sullivan and Ed Sanders. Visitation will be from 9:30 until 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Slater FFA Scholarship Fund in care of Weiker Funeral Home.
Born April 5, 1946, in Miami, he was the son of the late Tempest J. Sullivan Sr. and Viola Willis Sullivan. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, the Eagles Lodge in Boonville and the National Rifle Association. He retired from GE after more than 20 years of service.
He is survived by a daughter, Casey Short of Slater; a sister, Wanda Latimer of Miami; and his companion, Mildred Short of Slater.
