Ruth Marie Reichman, 84, of Niceille, Fla., passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 2, 2012, at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home, with Rev. Frank Dole officiating. Barry Thomas delivered the eulogy. Burial was in Heritage Gardens Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were Calvin Dunsmore, Billy Dunsmore, Philip Thomas, Barry Thomas, Johnny Hatton, Robert White, Mickey Brown, Joshua Graham, Michael Husser and Michael Echevarria. Visitation preceded the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to local Relay for Life cancer funds, Twin Cities Hospital in Niceville, Fla., or local cancer treatment centers or hospice. Born Nov. 25, 1927, in Chandler, Okla., she was the daughter of the late Thomas Homer Dunsmore and Galdys Lucille Yates Dunsmore. She was a child of the Great Depression, Oklahoma Dust Bowl and all wars in-between. She served as an officer and treasurer of the Twin Cities Senior Club, Senior Friends and helped at other local charity and elderly centers. She was a hospitality/food service worker most of her life.
She is survived by her daughters, Vickie Hatton and her husband, Johnny, of Denham Springs, La., and Rae Ann White and her husband, Robert, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; her sons, Philip Thomas and his wife, Judy, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Barry Thomas and his wife, Janice, of Temperance, Mich.; her brothers, Calvin Dunsmore and his wife, Earlene, of Warsaw and Billy Dunsmore and his wife, Joyce, of Marshall; her sister, Susan Browers of Park Hills; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Glen Thomas and Ray Reichman; her daughter, Gloria Jean Thomas Husser; and sibilings, Glendola Evans, Wanda Feine, Phyllis Gerlt, Travis Dunsmore, Mary Lewis and Dorothy Jean Dunsmore.
